BMFL stands for >Bright Multi-Functional Luminaire<. The first device in the family is the BMFL Spot, which replaces the successful ColorSpot 2500E AT. The heart of this powerful moving light is the new HTI 1,500/60/P28 lamp from OSRAM. It can be operated with 1,700, 1,500 or 1,200 watts. The special feature - in all three operating modes the CRI value of the lamp remains constant at a value of 92 and a color temperature of 6,000 Kelvin.
The BMFL Spot is at the same time the brightest, most compact and, due to its weight of only 36 kg, also by far the lightest device in the 1,500 class. One of the key features is the zoom lens with an enormous 11:1 ratio, which converts beam angles from 5° to 55° continuously and in fractions of a second - an effect that is second to none. In addition, the newly developed colour mixing unit is impressive, making it possible to create soft pastel shades as well as rich colours with absolute homogeneity. Two colour wheels, equipped with the most important colours and correction filters as well as the infinitely variable colour correction complete the system. The new, optimized Dual-Graphic Wheel in combination with the two fully equipped gobo wheels allows great and creative effect combinations. The drive units have also been redesigned - the BMFL Spot achieves pan/tilt speeds that have never been achieved before for a device in this class. The new EMS system provides for an optimized motor management and compensates for movements such as those caused by suspended trusses.
